A book written by LILI Director Julie Bayley has been a bestseller in its first year. Having been announced in November 2022, “Creating Meaningful Impact: The Essential Guide to Developing an Impact-Literate Mindset” was published in April 2023, receiving many positive reviews.

Celebrating this on LinkedIn, Julie said:

·      One of Emerald’s bestselling titles in 2023, and continues to be in the top 10 selling titles in 2024 (UK and rest of world, excluding Canada and US)

I wrote the book in the hope it might demystify impact, and make the whole thing feel less overwhelming. The messages I’ve had from people suggest that’s how it’s landed, and that makes me extremely happy.
 
For everyone embarking on impact, remember – keep channelling your inner Jessica Fletcher, avoid unicorns, and don’t be a jerk. And if all else fails in this mad world of academia, there’s always tea.
